POLITICS ARISES OVER COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN INDIA

Political parties behaving like prehistoric tribes, fighting like elections as if they were fighting for extinction. They do not even bother about it. Elections are more important than people’s lives. Thousands of people gathered in rallies without taking care of corona guidelines. Neither leaders nor supporters wear masks or maintain social distancing norms at these events.

Everybody is aware of the 2nd wave of corona virus pandemic and is increasing day by day. Aren’t they? But in this scenario, elections are more important than people’s lives. Whole world is suffering due to this. In this circumstance, people crawled helplessly from hospital to hospital in search of oxygen, a bed, a ventilator, and our political parties behaving like prehistoric tribes, fighting like elections as if they were fighting for extinction. They do not even bother about it.

India recorded the world’s highest daily tally of 314,835 new COVID-19 infections last week of April as a second wave of the pandemic raised new fears about the ability of crumbling health services to cope. India is grappling with a huge second wave of COVID-19. As on 20/04/2021, it has been reported that about 294,291 new daily infections.[1] West Bengal, meanwhile, registered its top most daily spike of 9,819 new cases that day. Yet political parties have been holding massive rallies and road shows that are attended by tens of thousands of people. Neither leaders nor supporters wear masks or maintain social distancing norms at these events.

If we talk about the recent elections thousands of people gathered in rallies without taking care of corona guidelines. And due to that many people got affected but then also it didn’t stop, they continued their rallies, gatherings etc. According to data in West Bengal at the day of election around 4 lakh cases of corona came positive and next day also many cases came. Many of us have lost our family members, friends and relatives but then also many people are behaving negligently. They’re not taking precautions and not even following corona guidelines.

In this situation, political activity in the state is in bursting and heinous violations of the rules of physical distance. In the meantime, rallies, crowded meetings, protest demonstrations are being held by the major political parties and jeopardizing the lives of their workers. They are really carried on their election rallies and play games on the name of religion.

The terrible second wave of corona virus has created a national emergency. It should be thinking that it has united our democracy, but India is hopelessly divided. A basic issue of vaccinating our people became the subject matter of political issues.

Although the Election Commission had restricted campaigning hours at night, this is hardly the tough response needed to cut the crowding during the campaigning. So important is the Battle for Bengal that the two main parties in the fray are reluctant to draw down their campaign in the final stages, despite the pandemic

A day after conclusion of Election, West Bengal Govt Imposes New fresh Covid-19 Restrictions:

As per the new order, shopping complexes, malls, beauty parlours, cinema halls, restaurants, bars, gyms and sports complexes will remain closed until further orders.

If we have to stop this pandemic than we have to be serious, we’ve to take precautions; we’ve to follow all the guidelines than only we can stay safe. Even our government have to understand this. It’s not right time for politics. If we talk about elections just after the day of elections government issued guidelines that all the shopping complexes, malls, beauty parlors, cinema halls, restaurants, bars, gyms etc. But before elections all people were allowed to use all these.

Is it like corona came just after elections????

Is elections are more important than people’s lives??

Isn’t government is also negligent at many places???

Like Kubhmela, elections, online matches etc.

We can take example of 3 April, 2021 match only. Due to 2 people of RCB team came covid positive match was postponed. Thus we should avoid all these gatherings than only we can control it.

Now on 4 April, 2021 they have to postpone all the matches ‘IPL’ because many more people came covid positive as they must have been come contact with other players.

All precautions are taken but why so delayed???

The question is what would have they lost if there was no kumb-mela, or digital rally or online cricket matches? Who is responsible for this kind of situation? And very sadly to say, whom to blame?

Many of us have lost their family, friends, loved-one, neighbour. This pandemic is giving us a hard time. The government has to be stricter and the government should be more organized for this crisis.

We have seen in India many decisions are taken lately and delayed. Why so? If all those decisions have been taken at proper time than the situation must be something different, may be we’re not having this situation.

Thus all the people have to understand this situation and they themselves have to prevent all these gatherings, rallies, elections etc. and have to follow all the guidelines. If not now then this Second wave of covid will ruin everything. We have to take care of ourselves and we all must have to get vaccinated and wear mask and use sanitizer on regular basis. By this we can protect ourselves and can defeat this virus/ pandemic together.
